A family sauna should be cleaned 1‒3 times a year with a moderate amount of water and detergent. Slightly alkaline (pH 8‒10) products are suitable detergents. You can also sand the surfaces lightly with sandpaper. All surfaces within the sauna are raw, natural cedar.
The sauna must be dried using the heater and sufficient ventilation.
Before delivery, water sealant is applied to the exterior of the sauna.
If your sauna is exposed to the elements (wind, rain, snow, etc.) you may need to reapply as needed.
Thompson's Water-Seal Clear Multi-Surface Waterproofer is what we recommend for maintaining the exterior appearance of you sauna. DO NOT apply on interior of sauna.
